STATUS REPORT 2026年8月9日

皆様お疲れ様です。夏本番暑さが厳しくなってきました。

室蘭の気温は３０度を上回る事はまだ無く、ただただじめじめとした日が続いております。

先日、サッポロファクトリーの中にある音楽処さんにアルバムを納品してきました！！

何というか一つ落ち着いた所もありますが、それを上回る勢いで頑張り所だなと言う感覚も付いてきました。

初めての営業。人生初です。

どういう所がいいのかを考えて探し、自分達が作ってきたモノを任せて置いて貰う。

そう考えて緊張が走り、電話を掛けたのが８月１日。

８月８日に実際にCDを持っていく事が決まり、僕はただ、ただその時から有難いなと感じました。まず、取り扱ってもらえないんじゃないかなと。

僕等は名も無きミュージシャンの一つです。

音楽処と言う器のデカさ、その歴史の結果に感謝するしかありませんでした。

ついに、当日となりtoyoと二人でサッポロファクトリーに到着、外は晴れ。

久しぶりの札幌の雰囲気を感じながら、3条館二階にある音楽処まで向かいました。

CDを渡した時に実際に自分たち以外の人が真剣に歌詞カードを見てくれた時、

僕は、正直感動してしまって「ああ、真剣に作ってよかった。」なと感じました。

何度も言いますが、これは自分たちで作ると決めてからは、

紙から写真、アルバムの構成、印刷機にCDの材質印刷のカットから、パッケージングまで全て手作業と言う事。

それを感じて貰いながら、そのまま自分達の曲を早速店内に掛けてくれた時は、

その心意気と、この空間が一つの結果となってくれた事を思うと、また感動してしまいました。

この方は、本当に音楽が好きで大事にしてくれる方なんだと、

この場所を見付けられた自分にも感謝出来ました。

もちろんその場を守り続けてくれたことそのものが有難いのですが、

僕自身としては自分に感謝できる部分があると、幸せを感じられることだと思うし、

そういう事が大事な事だと感じてます。

最後に音楽処の前で写真を撮って頂き、そのまま余韻に浸りながらファクトリー内をぶらつきながら、トルティーヤを食べてひとまずCocktail soundの初営業を完了しました！

車で移動中はいつものみんなに会えたり、新しい方に巡り合えたりで、

みんなのお陰もあり本当に最高な１日となりました。

ライブ配信でも言ってると思うのですが、

僕はYouTubeのライブ配信をしてから、本当に皆様の存在の有難みを実感しています。

名も無きミュージシャンを見てくれている皆様方を喜ばせたいと考えております！

CD納品と言うのは大きな１歩ではありましたが、ここから先を作っていくのは俺達です。

良い景色を皆さんと共に共有でs来たらマジで最高だよね。頑張ります。

８月は外でのライブ活動の予定はありませんが

よっぽどのことが無い限り、毎週土曜の夜の８時または１０時以降からは

Cocktail soundのYouTubeにてスタジオライブをライブ配信していきます。

９月は日程は未定ですが室蘭にてライブ予定があります。

日にちが決まりましたら、メンバーのインスタグラム等でもお知らせしますので、

チェックの方よろしくお願い致します。

とにかく昨日は最高でした！！

Hello everyone!

Summer is now in full swing, and the heat has definitely arrived.

Here in Muroran, the temperature still hasn’t gone above 30°C, but we’ve been dealing with hot, humid days one after another.

The other day, we finally delivered our album to Ongakudokoro, the music shop inside Sapporo Factory!!

In one sense, I feel like I’ve reached a place where I can finally take a breath.

At the same time, though, I feel an even stronger motivation to keep pushing forward.

This was my very first business visit.

The first one in my life.

We thought carefully about where our music truly belonged, searched for the right place, and then entrusted the things we had created with our own hands to someone else.

Just thinking about it made me nervous.

I made that first phone call on August 1st.

When we arranged to bring the CDs on August 8th, I already felt grateful.

Honestly, I had been wondering if they might not even agree to carry our album.

We’re just another unknown group of musicians.

Seeing the history behind Ongakudokoro and the generosity of the people who built that place over the years made me feel nothing but gratitude.

Finally, the day arrived.

Toyo and I reached Sapporo Factory under clear blue skies.

Enjoying the atmosphere of Sapporo for the first time in a while, we headed to Ongakudokoro on the second floor of the Sanjo Building.

When we handed over our CDs, someone other than ourselves carefully opened the lyric booklet and took the time to read it.

To be honest…

I was deeply moved.

At that moment I simply thought,

“I’m really glad we took this seriously.”

I’ve said this many times before, but ever since we decided to create everything ourselves, every part of this album has been handmade by us.

From choosing the paper, taking the photographs, designing the album, printing, selecting the CD itself, trimming the printed discs, all the way to the packaging.

Everything.

While they appreciated all of that, they immediately played our music inside the store.

That spirit…

And realizing that this space had become part of our journey…

It moved me once again.

I truly felt that this is someone who genuinely loves music and treasures it.

I was also grateful that we had found this place.

Of course, I’m thankful that they’ve continued protecting a place like this for so many years.

But personally, I also believe that being able to appreciate yourself for what you’ve accomplished is part of what happiness really is.

I think that’s something important.

Before we left, they kindly took a photo of us in front of the store.

After that, we wandered around Sapporo Factory, enjoying the moment, ate some tortillas, and officially completed Cocktail Sound’s very first business visit.

On the drive, we got to meet familiar faces as well as new people.

Thanks to all of you, it truly became one of the best days I’ve ever had.

I think I’ve mentioned this during our livestreams before, but ever since we started streaming regularly on YouTube, I’ve genuinely realized how grateful I am for everyone who supports us.

I want to make all of you happy—the people who choose to spend your time listening to musicians that are still unknown.

Getting our CDs into a store was a huge first step.

But what comes next…

That’s up to us.

If we can share even more amazing moments with all of you, that would honestly be the best feeling in the world.

We’ll keep giving it everything we’ve got.

We don’t have any outdoor live shows planned for August.

However, unless something unexpected comes up, we’ll continue streaming our studio live sessions every Saturday night on the Cocktail Sound YouTube channel, starting around 8:00 PM or after 10:00 PM (Japan time).

We’re also planning to perform live in Muroran sometime in September, although the date hasn’t been decided yet.

Once it’s confirmed, we’ll announce it on our Instagram accounts and other social media, so please keep an eye out.

Anyway…

Yesterday was absolutely incredible!!

First of all, I hope all of you enjoy the Obon holidays and take care of yourselves.
